Major League Baseball’s first-year continues with rounds three through 10 at 1 p.m. Friday. Here are some of the Southeastern Pennsylvania high school senior players and draft-eligible college players with area ties who could be tabbed either today or tomorrow:
Josh Ockimey, Neumann-Goretti, 1B. The 6-3, 225-pound Ockimey worked out for the Phillies Tuesday and last Saturday at Citizens Bank Park. He was batting .515 (35 for 68) with 32 RBIs and 29 runs prior to Thursday’s PIAA Class AA state quarterfinal vs. Bloomsburg. Boston, Miami, Minnesota, and St. Louis have also been shown interest.
Zach Schellenger, Devon Prep, RHP. Despite being shelved since early April with a strained flexor muscle, the 6-6, 205-pounder, who throws a fastball that has topped out at 94 m.p.h., could still be selected.
Jordan Carter, St. Joseph’s, RHP (Methacton).
Josh Harris, Villanova, LHP.
Joe Harvey, Pittsburgh, RHP (Kennedy-Kenrick).
Matt Hollenbeck, Georgetown, LHP (Hatboro-Horsham).
Danny Hoy, Princeton, INF (Germantown Academy).
J.B. Kole, Villanova, RHP.
Alex Kowalczyk, Pittsburgh Community College, C (Downingtown East).
Brian O’Grady, Rutgers, OF (Archbishop Wood).
Brian O’Keefe, St. Joseph’s, C.
Mike Riverso, Widener, 1B/OF (Neumann-Goretti).
Casey Roche, Pittsburgh, OF (Downingtown East).
Danny Rosenbaum, Louisville, 1B (Chestnut Hill Academy/Plymouth Whitemarsh).
Ryan Seiz, Liberty, 1B-3B, Liberty (Christopher Dock).
Kurt Sowa, Rider, RHP (Father Judge).
Tom Spitz, Wingate, OF (West Chester East).
Matt Tenaglia, James Madison, OF/1B (Central Bucks East).
Connor Walsh, Cincinnati, RHP (Radnor).
Scott Williams, State College of Florida, RHP (Conestoga).
