In three adventuresome stops along the East Coast in two years, left-hander Brendon Little never felt as comfortable as he has since joining the Cubs’ minor-league system.
Little, 21, the Cubs’ first pick in the 2017 draft, is relieved pitching under the same set of eyes from coaches delivering the same message.
“The toughest thing was having a different pitching coach every year,” Little said late last month. “Each pitching coach had a different philosophy. Everywhere else was like a patch up for one year, one year, one year. It’s nice to settle down and have a game plan for multiple years.”
